Job Summary:

The Production Home Assembler - Receiver/Material Handler coordinates with their lead and supervisor by following instructions to assist the production line with material handling and stocking.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Material Receiving .
  • Material handling.
  • Requisitions, obtains, and distributes supplies and materials.
  • Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
  • Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
  • Store cargo in assigned locations using cargo boards and pallets.
  • Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
  • Operate various machinery including booms, cameras, cranes, and forklifts to handle materials and inventory.
  • Analyze pick sheets based on clients orders and pull the appropriate products for each order.
  • Track supply levels and regularly submit purchasing recommendations.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Forklift experience. 
  • Cycle count experience.
  • Material handling, storage, and stocking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident problem-solver.
  • Team player.
  • Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage.
  • Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.
  • Availability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • CDL is helpful but not required.

  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Possess basic construction knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in a high-volume
  • Versatility 
  • You must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members

 

Working conditions:

  • Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location

 

Physical requirements:

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree
  • Heavy Work - Lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees as well as function safely around construction equipment
