What the 107 Bistro & Wine Bar Service Manager does!

As the 107 Service Manager, you’ll manage the business operations and staff of 107 Bistro & Wine Bar to create a fine dining environment that fosters brand loyalty and sales to meet or exceed our goals. You’ll create a positive work environment with highly trained, professional, and motivated staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Working at our historic winery in Los Gatos, Wednesday – Sunday, the day to day may include :

Hiring, scheduling, training, retaining, promoting, and coaching team members.

Communicating daily with staff on new information regarding specials, promos, wine club updates, winery offerings, sales competitions, upcoming events, new releases, and low inventory sales.

Conducting food & beverage service trainings quarterly to enhance the guest experience and meet monthly revenue and club sign up goals.

Working with Marketing on promotions and new offerings to increase attendance and sales for the 107.

Managing reservation system, menu updates, live music, Community Charity Night program and inventory.

Filling in for any front of house winery service positions when short staffed / as needed.

Communicating in regard to food sales, food quality and work performance of culinary staff with the 107 Sous Chef, Executive Chef and Culinary Operations Supervisor.

Ensuring 107 Bistro & Wine Bar guest areas are ready for guest arrival prior to opening, and facility is secured at closing.

Performing administrative tasks such as reporting, data analysis, payroll, POS management, etc.

Performing other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements :

2 years of experience in restaurant or applicable hospitality management

Proven leadership skills with experience training and mentoring staff

Effective verbal and written communication

Results oriented with excellent problem solving and decision making skills

Superb customer service skills

Positive attitude with the wiliness to jump in and help wherever and whenever needed

Ability to create a fun work environment with engaged and highly motivated team

Ability to follow company policies and procedures

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

Responsible Beverage Service and Food Service Manager Certifications (within 1 week of hire)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Available to work Wednesday-Sunday Thursday-Mondays and holidays.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Ability to work indoor / outdoor, in all weather conditions (rain or shine).

Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift (7 hours).

Frequent reaching, lifting, carrying and bending.
