What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal River Monitor position at Teton County?

River Monitor
Job duties include:
· Primary duties will be customer service oriented; related to on ramp launching/exiting, traffic flow, general river/boat ramp etiquette at Wilson Boat Ramp and South Park Landing Boat Ramp.
· Limited coordination with Administration on launch schedules and river guide related concerns related to permitting and ramp usage
· Litter, trash, and recycling removal from boat ramps
· General light infrastructure maintenance, i.e. painting, kiosk maintenance, signage, and facility inspections.
Applicants should be:
· Customer service oriented, having the ability to effectively communicate and disseminate information
· Able to work unsupervised and manage time well
· Experienced and competent with basic hand tools
· Able to lift 50 lbs.
Ideal candidates:
· Are service oriented and have basic understanding of river/boat ramp etiquette, or ability to learn
· Are team players with the ability to work independently when necessary
· Have a strong work ethic
· Enjoy the outdoors, can work in all types of weather/environments
Schedule:
· Two monitors each working 4:10 shifts (Sun-Wed, Wed-Sat)
