Your Role:
- Civil Engineering infrastructure design that primarily includes ADA curb ramp design, precise grading, minor roadway design and some drainage;
- Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses as they pertain to ADA curb ramp and roadway geometric solutions;
- Support preparation of construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates;
- Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects;
- Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines and utility infrastructure;
- Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner;
- Works with a team to create unified solutions and create seamless deliverable sets;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering (or similar) Required; 0-3 years of experience;
- EIT Certificate is strongly preferred
- Background, project work experience and process knowledge of feature lines, precise grading, surfaces, and drainage using Civil3D is ideal
- Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to self-direct and self-check plan sets and reports, along with others work product;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D (formal training desired), word processing and spreadsheet management programs with working knowledge of applicable codes, especially as they pertain to ADA curb ramps;
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
