Job Overview:
The USAID-funded Climate Adaptation Support Activity (CASA), implemented by Tetra Tech International Development, is currently seeking expressions of interest for future Green Climate Fund Support Experts to provide technical assistance on ongoing short-term assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support USAID in Advancing GCF Programming and Accreditation Processes
- Develop and implement GCF Readiness programming initiatives.
- Design and submit GCF full-size project proposals focused on climate adaptation.
- Evaluate GCF projects and programs.
- Provide technical support to advance direct access entity (DAE) accreditation processes.
- Guide USAID's Engagement with the GCF Secretariat
- Offer strategic and technical advice on GCF secretariat policies, programming processes, and collaboration opportunities.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience working with the GCF, either as an accredited entity or directly with the GCF.
- Field-based experience working with countries to advance GCF proposals and/or assist direct access entities (DAEs) with the accreditation process.
- Prior experience with GCF's work in fragile, conflict-affected states, humanitarian settings, and social/environmental safeguards procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of USAID and familiarity with USAID's Program Cycle are desirable.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated communication expertise, including development and delivery of training materials, briefing notes, etc.
- Proven workshop and meeting facilitation abilities, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions.
- Ability to travel internationally.
