Your Role
The successful candidate will have experience in public infrastructure facilities construction including yard piping, site/civil work, structural concrete, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation.
- Observe and report daily progress and monitor compliance with the project documents
- Document site activities daily by maintaining accurate and current Daily Reports, Project Photographs, test reports, and Conforming to Construction Record Drawings
- Maintain accurate quantity records if required, work with Construction Manager, generate deficiency lists.
- Review progress with contractor regularly
- Proactively work with contractor and Tetra Tech design resources to address project issues
- Coordinate and liaison with client contact and contractor during the course of the project Keep Client informed of activities that could affect operations
- Coordinate with designated third-party materials testing firms for project testing, including but not limited to soils, concrete, bituminous, and bearing
- Advocate for site safety, reporting concerns to contractor and Client
- Monitor and track additional work including Work Change Directives, Field Orders and Change Orders
- Assist the Construction Manager by undertaking minor construction management tasks as may be directed by the Construction Manager
- Supervise additional field personnel from time to time as may be required
- Attend preconstruction and progress meetings
- At least 5 plus years of experience of municipal facilities construction required
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record required
- This position may require protracted or irregular hours depending on business needs.
- Strong desire to maintain a career in construction contract administration as a consultant
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Traverse over rough terrain, and occasionally operate miscellaneous survey equipment
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladders
- May be subject to exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions, hazardous materials and chemicals, heavy construction equipment, heights, as well as air and waterborne pathogens
