What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Solar Technician II position at TETRACE Group?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct pad-mounted transformer switching and corrective tasks on solar.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in solar equipment.
- Transformer switching in accordance with LOTO.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including weed eaters, lawnmowers, and other landscaping tools.
- Complete EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) documentation and maintain accurate records for work orders, timesheets, tool and PPE inventory, and related tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Advanced Technical Training is a plus.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
- 2-6 Electrical and/or Solar Experience.
- Proven experience in solar energy maintenance preferred, with additional years of electrical experience strongly desired.
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems and substation maintenance is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in using mechanical and electronic testing equipment, such as voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, and various hand and power tools.
Additional Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel as necessary.
