Electrical Solar Technician II

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct pad-mounted transformer switching and corrective tasks on solar.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in solar equipment.
  • Transformer switching in accordance with LOTO.
  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including weed eaters, lawnmowers, and other landscaping tools.
  • Complete EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) documentation and maintain accurate records for work orders, timesheets, tool and PPE inventory, and related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Advanced Technical Training is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • 2-6 Electrical and/or Solar Experience.
  • Proven experience in solar energy maintenance preferred, with additional years of electrical experience strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage systems and substation maintenance is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using mechanical and electronic testing equipment, such as voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, and various hand and power tools.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel as necessary.
