This position demands a self-motivated individual that can balance quality and preciseness to help obtain consistent profitability. For the growth of our division to progress as desired we need the right individual that can be efficient, have a passion for success and work well in a team setting.
Job Description:
Prepare and submit complete and accurate process mechanical piping and project management for competitively bid at-risk Design/Build projects.
Prepare and submit budgetary conceptual estimates for traditionally delivered projects.
Provide input for Construction Means and Methods at various stages of design development.
Provide Value Engineering suggestions at various stages of design development to help project costs remain within budget expectations.
Support the Business Development effort through the preparation of cost proposals including hard pricing information, construction scheduling, and project scope definition.
Facilitate and/or participate in estimate reviews, project turn-over workshops, team chartering meetings, risk reviews, etc.
Provide support to the Operations Group at the field level in the preparation of Change Orders.
Assist the Operation Group in the preparation of Cost to Complete Estimates for construction projects at various levels of completion to assist in the forecast of profit and loss.
Assist the Operations Group as needed for procurement, schedule of values, and job budget preparation following a successful pursuit.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of Project management experience of which 5 years in the Large Commercial projects is required.
Desired candidate will have technical skills in estimating including experience in Design/Build, Design/Assist and Plan and Spec delivery of construction projects, as well as experience in scheduling and cost engine.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Projects and previous experience with computerized estimating systems.
Experience with Auto-Bid a plus
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field desired but not required with sufficient work experience.
