About the Position
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative professional to lead our Global Head of Cancer Research and Development team, driving the growth of our Immuno-oncology portfolio. This role will shape the strategic direction of Translational and Precision Medicine efforts, using cutting-edge research to maximize the success of drug development programs in this key therapeutic area.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the following main responsibilities:
- Lead translational science, clinical biomarker development, and precision medicine studies.
- Collaborate closely with discovery, preclinical, and clinical development teams to identify and advance new drug candidates efficiently through early and late-stage clinical trials.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Immuno-oncology, aligning with Teva's priorities.
- Manage a team of experts in Translational Science, Clinical Biomarkers, and Precision Medicine, ensuring regular reviews and strategic planning.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:
- 7-10 years of experience in early clinical research and drug development, with strong expertise in translational and precision medicine, biomarker sciences, and oncology.
- Leadership experience, with a proven track record in project and team management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries.
- Strong technical expertise in clinical development, including study design and management, and experience adhering to ICH, GCP, and GLP guidelines.
- Regulatory knowledge, with experience interacting with regulatory authorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams and disciplines.
