*CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY*
*Our hospitality partner is seeking a STAFF ACCOUNTANT!*
HYBRID!
$35/hour
Contract Length: 2-3 months
You are:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience with journal entries, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong initiative, adaptability, and ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications.
- Experience with PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime to meet financial reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record all entries accurately before the general ledger close per the corporate schedule
- Prepare and present financial statements with variance analysis per GAAP
- Notify accounting management of emerging issues to ensure timely action plans
- Review and analyze financial results for month-end close
- Communicate financial results and variance analysis to management
- Prepare or review balance sheet reconciliations and month-end schedules
- Research and resolve reconciling items, reporting exceptions to management
