What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Dye Weigher/Mixer position at Tex Tech Coatings?

Shift: 3rd shift (12 a.m. - 8 a.m.)
Reports to: Mixing Manufacturing Manager
Hiring prerequisite: Must pass (70 or above) math test, which is a simple two-page quiz where use of a calculator is allowed.
Duties:
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Receive, unload, and store all incoming chemicals. Take samples and deliver to lab.
- Inventory chemical mixes daily.
- Prepare all chemical mixes per batch card based on amount needed. Determine amount needed by using productions yards and pickup figures.
- Set valves and pumps to deliver chemicals to frames.
- Pump back mixes to proper tanks and wash out lines completely.
- Clean out empty tote tanks and wash out lines completely.
- Clean inside RFL tanks as needed.
- Maintain housekeeping for safe, orderly operation.
- Take samples of mixes for lab testing. Check pH and viscosity of mixes.
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Perform simple mechanical maintenance as needed.
- Will be cross-trained in at least one other area to remain productive during low volume periods.
Physical Requirements
- Stands on tile floor for whole shift. Travels over a 300 ft. space approximately 8-9 times per shift. Climbs into confined spaces, approximately once per shifts, to perform cleaning duties. Lifts 50 lbs. rubber continuously and a 15 lbs. large rubber hose approximately twice per shift. Bends to floor level approximately 50 times per shift. Exposed to low levels of toluene, ammonia, formaldehyde fumes - required to wear goggles when handling these substances. Be able to perform mathematical functions including: addition, subtraction, calculation of fractions and percentages, and division.
