About the Role
The Insurance Commercial Producer is responsible for generating new business by selling commercial insurance products to businesses and organizations. This role involves identifying potential clients, understanding their insurance needs, and providing tailored solutions to protect their assets and operations. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of commercial insurance products, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
Business Development
Identify and prospect potential clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads to meet or exceed sales targets.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the commercial insurance sector.
Client Consultation
Meet with business owners and decision-makers to assess their insurance needs.
Analyze risks and recommend appropriate commercial insurance products (e.g., general liability, property, workers' compensation, etc.).
Prepare and present customized insurance proposals to clients.
Sales Execution
Close sales and secure new business accounts.
Collaborate with underwriters to ensure accurate policy pricing and coverage.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Client Relationship Management
Provide ongoing support to clients, including policy reviews, renewals, and claims assistance.
Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Skills and Attributes
Sales Expertise: Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close commercial insurance deals.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management.
Client Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to develop and maintain long-term client partnerships.
Communication Skills: Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication for explaining policies and addressing client needs.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess risks and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
Time Management: Skilled at managing multiple accounts and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-Motivation: Goal-oriented and proactive in driving business growth.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Commercial Sales.
- Comfortable using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and insurance management tools.
Certificates, License and or Specialized Requirements
- A valid insurance license is required. Additional certifications (e.g., CIC, CRM) are a plus.
