Job Description
Coordinator of the Data Analysis and associated Training Program for undergraduate and graduate students on current USDA and NIH funded projects.
Job Duties:
Co-write proposals for grants as key personnel and/or co-investigator- Co-author and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, prepare scientific reports, and present scientific data at local and national conferences.
- Support PI in the design, plan, conduct, and coordination of experiments in support of various research projects.
- Maintain detailed records of data including master data spreadsheets and research protocols.
- Monitor project budgets.
- Manage and lead all ongoing and forthcoming human clinical trials including IRB approval, recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and carrying out all data
- Manage laboratory, supervise research undergraduate and graduate students, oversee laboratory supply and equipment purchases and assist in equipment
- Prepare and lead annual laboratory audits required by TAMU EHS and IBS committees.
- Interview, hire, and supervise all student worker lab assistants.
- Conduct lab safety and biohazard training for all research nurses and undergraduate and graduate students
- Organize and lead journal club and lab meetings.
- Other duties as required.
Required Education:
PhD or related degree in a life or physical science
PhD or related degree in a life or physical science
Preferred Experience:
Previous human clinical research experience, experience in nutrition and food science, instructional experience
Required Special Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to interact and work effectively as a team member.
Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
