Job Description Summary
The Food Service Worker, under supervision, is responsible for preparing food and beverages to standardized recipes.
Responsibilities
- Oversees maintenance of food service equipment.
- Prepares food and beverages using standardized recipes.
- Works in a 'team environment' to prepare and deliver food to clientele.
- Verifies delivered supplies for quantity and quality. Supervises food storage and maintains inventory control.
- Seeks client input regarding food quality and makes adjustments as needed.
- Manages special diet requests, testing and modifying recipes to meet client needs.
- Supervises and assigns duties to employees engaged in preparing, handling and serving food.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No prior experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate custodial equipment.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Must be able to lift loads of 50-100 lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for prolonged periods.
