The Administrative Coordinator II will work under general supervision and coordinate administrative support for the Department of Health Policy and Management within the School of Public Health. They will provide advance administrative support and exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years of experience in office administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a higher education setting
Experience working with academic and faculty affairs offices
Experience with event planning and logistics
Knowledge of Texas A&M University purchase and travel processes
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organization skills
Responsibilities:
Administrative Office Support : Performs responsibilities in support of the department including but not limited to c oordinating the maintenance and purchasing of office supplies and equipment, maintains office reference materials including online office materials , delivers and picks up documents, supplies, equipment, or materials. Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operation s. Monitors office procedures. Develops, evaluates, and ensures adherence to office procedures . May assist in the development of budget. Provides general information and referrals, and schedules appointments, reserve visitor parking. Receives, sorts, and routes mail and performs other mail services.
Administrative Faculty & Staff Support - F ormulates, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures and serves as a resource for answering questions regarding policies. Coordinates arrangements for meetings, student events, workshops, and travel. Performs data entry and retrieval and maintains data files. Reviews and signs documents for supervisor . Attends meetings or committees on behalf of supervisor. Prepares and proofs materials for reports and other publications. Processes reimbursement requests through the appropriate channels and follow through to completion. A ssists faculty with travel and purchasin g.
Event Coordination & Planning - Coordinate the planning and managing of events of varying sizes related to the department. P erforms special analyses and project summaries. Prepares and reviews operational and special report s. Coordinates office records retention and maintains office references and resources materials. Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries. Plans and coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events . Provides support at on-campus and off-campus events including event set-up and registration check-in. Liaises with faculty, staff, students, and others concerning their participation in events.
