This position supports Occupational Ergonomics and Biomechanics (OEB) Laboratory at the department of Environmental and Occupational Health, TAMU’s School of Public Health. This position will support various administrative and research activities as follows. Assist subject recruitment, data collection, processing and analysis for ongoing funded research projects. Assist managing and ordering research supplies. Disseminate the study results via conference proceedings, presentations, and peer-reviewed journal papers.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of related experience in specialized and relevant field of research
Preferred Qualifications
MS/MPH degree with focus on Occupational Health and Ergonomics
Expertise in 3-D motion capture systems and biomechanical modeling
A minimum of 3 years experience in ergonomics and biomechanics laboratory settings
Strong analytic and quantitative skills on electromyography, kinematic and kinetic data
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with with Optitrack 3-D motion capture and 3-D biomechanical modeling software
Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software.
Attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Manage and Support ongoing funded research projects
Coordinate a current research project (ending in August 2025) by working with the PI and research staffs in the OEB lab.
Designs, plans, conducts and coordinates experiments in support various research projects.
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques of routine research, keeping detailed records of data.
Uses computers and laboratory or technical equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and technical evaluation of research experiments and results.
Assist in developing 3-D motion capture data collection/analysis protocol using Optitrack motion capture system and Visual 3D software.
Installs, operates, and/or repairs research equipment.
Support the project data collection and analysis. Evaluates and summarizes experiment results.
Attend weekly meetings with the PI and research staffs.
Research Publications
Utilizes summarized results in scientific and/or clientele-oriented publications.
Prepares and writes proposals to funding agencies and maintains financial accounts related to research projects.
Disseminate the study results via conference proceedings, presentations, and peer-reviewed journal papers.
Training and other Administrative Duties
Trains undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research.
Provide administrative oversight to lab operation including project budget, IRB, procurement, etc.
Organize meetings and sending out meeting invites to research collaborators.
Assist managing and ordering research supplies.
