The Department of Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology (VTPP), College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University (https://physiology.tamu.edu/) invites high caliber applicants for a full-time, non-tenure, 9 month academic professional track (APT) position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor with a primary emphasis in physiology instruction. The Department is seeking applicants eager to contribute to the outstanding education provided by VTPP and the CVMBS and provide transformational learning to high quality Texas A&M University students. Anticipated start date is May 1, 2025.
The successful applicant will be expected to devote a significant portion of their effort to teaching physiology in the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) program and provide educational support in the veterinary professional program as needed. The ideal candidate will participate in interdisciplinary physiology instruction, and work with faculty across the College and University as needed to develop and contribute to the team teaching of physiology. The successful candidate will devote 80% effort to physiology instruction, 10% scholarship of teaching & learning, and 10% service. The applicant will be expected to devote a significant portion of their effort to teaching physiology in the Biomedical Sciences.
Candidate should have a DVM and PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Cell Biology.
