What we want
We're seeking individuals with a passion for STEM to serve as AggieSTEM Summer Camp-Camp Counselors. The Camp Counselors, at the direction of the Camp Director(s), provide instruction, demonstration, and assistance to campers as they adhere to high standards and serve as role models for our campers. The AggieSTEM summer camp is conducted annually during the months of June and July. The Camp Counselors will work with the students registered for camp during the multiple weeks of the summer camp.
Responsibilities
Camp Counselor
Compensation: $13.00/hourly
Position Details: Must commit to at least 2 weeks in June
Sunday and Saturday’s shifts will vary
Monday – Friday Shifts are: AM Shift or PM Shift
Night Shift (Must stay on site, Housing will be provided)
Ability to participate in all aspects of camp life
Must be 18 years of age by June 1, 2025
Required Education And Experience
Aggie STEM Camps are one-week camps designed to encourage the exploration of STEM-focused project-based learning (PBL). Aggie STEM Summer camps are held at Texas A&M University in College Station. Camps are geared towards students entering 6th through 12th grade in the Fall of 2025. Aggie STEM campers are typically advanced students who reflect the core values of Texas A&M University and have a strong interest in STEM related fields.

- At the direction of the Camp Director(s), provides instruction, demonstration, and assistance to campers
- Adheres to high standards and serves as a role model for our campers
- Day Counselors will assist instructors on campus during the day and will be responsible for keeping campers on-task and engaged during lessons, panels, and lab tours
- Night Counselors will look after campers in the evening during extracurricular activities and will be on-call overnight
- Must commit to at least 2 weeks in June - Sunday and Saturday’s shifts will vary:AM Shift, PM Shift, Night Shift (Must stay on site, Housing will be provided)

Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of related experience using and/or involving STEM
- Preferred Science, Tech, Math, Engineering
- CPR Certified
- First Aid Certified
- Experience working with children/ Camp worker experience
