What we want
We are seeking a dedicated Research Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a state-funded longitudinal research project centered around maternal mental health. The Research Coordinator is expected to coordinate and supervise data collection and data management efforts; enter data in electronic databases such as SPSS, RedCap, and Microsoft Office applications; oversee the scheduling of participant appointments and study sessions; handle relevant financial transactions; help to advertise the study to relevant agencies; collaborate with principal investigators on protocol implementation and more. Excellent organizational and managerial skills are essential to maintain participant files, records, and university and federal regulatory documents to ensure compliance.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or other applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of related experience working on research projects, in research lab, or in roles involving complex tasks
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- The well-qualified candidate will also possess experience in grant coordination and grant management, experience working with human research subjects, and experience working in longitudinal studies that follow research participants over time.
- Participant Recruitment and Data Collection: Recruits participants. Contacts relevant agencies and explains the project details. Helps advertise the study to potential participants. Attends pregnancy-related events. Schedules participants and runs sessions. Tracks data over time. Compiles and reviews data and metadata. Collects samples and measurement data from experiments. Implements and maintains data collection and summarization of field trials.
- Manages Day-to-Day Operations: Answers phone calls. Contacts participants for scheduling sessions. Mails blood samples for analyses. Assists with lab purchases. Performs basic analyses and tests. Makes and records observations and scientific measurement. Extracts, collects and compiles data. Computes quantitates and extends projections. Develops and maintains training materials for external users.
