A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M College of Dentistry () in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. The College of Dentistry is looking for an Academic IT Coordinator to serve in the Office of Academic Affairs providing technical support for the classroom as well as hybrid and online course. What you need to know
Proposed Salary : $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 annually (Commensurate to selected hire's qualifications)
Work Schedule / Location : This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in supporting technology in the classroom and for online courses in an academic environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of multi-media and software or related programs.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications :
Four years of experience as an instructor or course builder in one of the three leading Learning Management Systems : Blackboard Learn / Ultra, Canvas, and / or Brightspace D2L.
Two years of experience leading webinars using a major technology such as Zoom, WebEx, Collaborate Ultra, or comparable web conferencing system.
Two years of experience with proctoring and troubleshooting online exam software (HESI, Examsoft, Examity, APEA, and other comparable products).
Experience in higher education.
Strong presentation skills.
Job Responsibilities :
Academic Technology Support
Provides technical support and training for academic technology software and systems.
Serves as key point of contact to orient new faculty and students to local campus resources.
Coordinates computer-based testing technology support for faculty and students.
Uses technology tools to collect data for the learning and development of projects.
Provides guidance for faculty and / or staff on emerging or new technologies related to instruction.
Maintains and troubleshoots audio-visual technology equipment.
Designs and creates instructional web pages for faculty and others.
Conducts or assists with training workshops and seminars on use of course management technology.
Develops and updates tutorials and online resources.
Coordinates computer-based testing technology support for faculty and students.
Device Management
Organizes and oversees loaner IT device program for the Office of Academic Affairs, ensuring to maintain compliance with Texas A&M Health IT device policies
Make recommendations on new device acquisitions.
Create and manage IT device replacement schedule.
Quality Assessment
Monitors course development progress.
Assists in assessing online course quality.
