Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Specialist to join our team sell, install and maintain irrigation systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our irrigation systems are installed and functioning efficiently and effectively. This job requires irrigation equipment and mechanical knowledge. The position is hourly with added sales commission.
Responsibilities:
- Sell, install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including nozzles, pipes, pumps, and valves.
- Perform routine checks on irrigation systems to identify and fix any leaks or malfunctions.
- Use power tools and heavy equipment to dig trenches and lay pipes for irrigation systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as trenchers and excavators.
- Invoice and bill out customer unit and parts via computer software.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair irrigation system components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all irrigation systems are properly installed, maintained and functioning effectively.
- A valid drivers license is required and a passport is preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance, preferably in a commercial or residential landscape setting.
- Familiarity with large scale pivot and linear systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in irrigation system maintenance or landscape maintenance preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
