What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Manager position at Texas Association of School Business Officials?
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Manage the association’s professional development program to include the development, planning, review, scheduling, and evaluation of workshops, academies, fundamentals training, private training, leadership training, and non-certification learning events, and the selection and training of presenters and facilitators. Collaborate with association teams and content experts to ensure continuous program improvement, enhance learning events, provide learning opportunities, and engage members. Assist the membership team with exhibit management.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design and delivery
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, video editing and graphic design software, instructional design tools, and participant engagement programs
- Knowledge of program management and event planning systems, learning management systems, data analysis and financial management tools, and member databases
- Knowledge of content area(s) supported by the professional development program
- Effective communication (verbal and written), public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Effective skills in organizing, managing, and prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines
- Skill in designing, implementing, evaluating, and refining learning programs
- Skill in promoting communication and collaboration among various areas of the organization to enhance program development, service delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting program and evaluation data
- Skill in identifying and resolving problems and providing consultation and recommendations
- Ability to facilitate virtual and in-person meetings for small and large groups
Experience
Two years’ experience in association event planning and/or professional development preferred.
