Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role is crucial for supporting our financial operations and providing insights that aid in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records through general ledger accounting.
• Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation for debits and credits.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts receivable management, including invoicing and collections.
• Support tax preparation processes by gathering necessary documentation and information.
• Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits or reviews as needed.
• Prepare financial reports that summarize current financial position and performance.

Experience

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a public accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
