Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Credit Analyst at Texas Champion Bank in San Antonio, TX. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating credit data and financial statements, analyzing loan applications, assessing risk, and making recommendations for credit approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of financial statement and assessment of credit requests, including new requests and refinancing to evaluate the loan applicant’s credit worthiness
• Perform cash flow analysis of borrowers to determine risk involved in extending credit
• Provide recommendations tied to your analysis and assessment of credit risk
• Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to lenders and approvers especially findings that involve a borrower’s ability to repay
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies, rate sheets, etc.
• Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances
• Develop and prepare excel spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications
• Perform on-site inspections of current construction loans in progress
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields
• Two to five years of strong quantitative experience
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and general computer use
• Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a work environment, with varying degrees of supervision
• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
• Must be able to understand financial data (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements, Financial Ratios, etc.) and apply those skills as they pertain to the credit underwriting process. Must be organized, efficient, and able to work independently and be detail oriented to generate accurate reports
