YOUR FUTURE TEAM
As part of TCEQ’s Office of Water, you would contribute to ensuring clean and available water and protecting Texas’ water resources.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing projects and multiple priorities.
- Experience in the acquisition, analysis, and/or interpretation of watershed data.
- Experience developing and/or maintaining databases, and generating reports from databases.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING...
- Conduct watershed assessment, planning projects and related functions in support of the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Program for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Perform project management functions, oversee program projects and their associated contracts. Assist in reviewing and approving documents to ensure completion of projects and contracts. Develop work plans for projects, track project schedules and budgets, and review project deliverables.
- Complete project tasks including, reviewing the acquisition, manipulation, and assessment of water quality, biological, hydrologic and watershed information. Generate reports containing maps, tables, and graphics.
- Assist with stakeholder participation initiatives. Conduct public presentations, identify and interact with local stakeholders and the regulated community, coordinate technical support, and prepare supporting materials.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field.
One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.
