Work Schedule
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Individual and work group schedule determined by the Program Support and Environmental Assistance Division.

This position is a member of our Program Support and Environmental Assistance division.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Review and investigate complaints, perform reviews of plans, designs, and installations. Conduct follow-up investigations and prepare associated reports.
- Verify completion of corrective actions. Track all investigation alleged violations and perform appropriate follow-up activities. Resolve violations and make referrals to Enforcement Division for formal enforcement action as appropriate
- Assist with and conduct the implementation and oversight of LIP and OSSF program activities; projects which may include the review and approval process regarding the designation of governmental entities authorized to regulate OSSF, rule teams, website development, research projects, legislative coordination and proprietary OSSF product review.
- Serve as a division representative on committees, workgroups, and teams related to various OSSF or LIP activities. Help prepare informational material and make presentations at designated events.
- Provide routine technical or administrative assistance and outreach or data requests to Agency staff, the public, and the regulated community regarding programs as well as the application of appropriate regulations.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Irrigator Advisory Council (IAC) activities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience preparing technical papers (such as investigation reports and/or research papers).
- Experience providing outreach to the general public, regulated community, media, and/or other government entities concerning policy and/or technical issues.
- Experience managing projects involving various areas or multiple customers.
- Experience in coordinating projects related to the development and implementation of regulatory processes, data collection, and/or improving management and/or technical techniques.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field.
One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Natural Resources Specialist II-IV state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Natural Resources Specialist II-IV series.
