Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Unit Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our facilities maintenance staff.
**Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and coordinate the work of facilities maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
**Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent.
- Five years of full-time experience in facilities maintenance, maintenance administration, or construction.
- Two years of experience in supervising employees or inmates.
- Preferrably, water or wastewater plant operations or maintenance experience.
- A current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) water or wastewater license is preferred.
