Texas Equine Hospital is looking for one Part-Time receptionist to join our team. This position offers an opportunity for stable employment, extending beyond the summer and throughout the entirety of the school year.
As a Receptionist at Texas Equine Hospital, you will be the first point of contact for our company which means YOU have the most important job in ensuring our clients have an enjoyable experience! Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the clinic. You will welcome clients and greet people who visit the clinic. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, invoice clients, transcribe medical records, and distribute correspondence.
To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus.
Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes clients positively and with a smile, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. More detailed responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Responsibilities

*Greet and welcome clients as soon as they arrive at the office *Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office *Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls *Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable *Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email *Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Schedule
This is a part-time position with a consistent schedule throughout the school year. The duration of employment extends beyond the summer months, offering a stable and continuous employment opportunity. The ideal candidate should be available to work one of the following 2 schedules the following schedule:
1) First Schedule Option
Tuesday and Fridays: 11:30am - 5:00pm
Wednesdays: 8:00am - 1:30pm
2) Second Schedule Option
Tuesdays: 11:30am - 5:30pm
Fridays: 8:00am - 5:30pm
Qualifications

*Outgoing and friendly/pleasant personality *Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word primarily) *Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers) *Professional attitude and appearance *Solid written and verbal communication skills *Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise *Excellent organizational skills *Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks *Customer service attitude
