Job Summary
Texas Galaxy Cheer & Dance is seeking an experienced Competitive Dance Coach to lead and support our competitive teams. We are a family-focused studio that values excellence, creativity, and character. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in competitive dance styles, choreography, and technique instruction, and thrives in a team-oriented, uplifting environment.
Responsibilities
- Choreograph and teach routines for competitive teams across jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop
- Prepare dancers for competitions through regular practices and conditioning
- Attend all competitions, dress rehearsals, and additional Saturday practices
- Collaborate with the Dance Director on team placement and choreography planning
- Provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and individualized coaching to team members
- Assist with costume coordination and music preparation
Qualifications
- Experience coaching competitive dance teams
- Strong choreography and teaching background across multiple styles
- Ability to motivate and mentor young dancers
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Availability for weekend competitions and practices
