The Endocrinology Office Manager is responsible for managing the daily administrative operations
the practice, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality patient care, and adherence to healthcare
regulations. This role involves managing office staff, coordinating with healthcare providers,
managing and maintaining revenue cycle management processes, and maintaining a patient-
focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise administrative and clinical staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure that patients receive high-quality care and that their needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the patient experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between staff, healthcare providers, patients, and external partners.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, demographics, and contact information.
- Confirm insurance eligibility and coverage before services are provided to ensure proper billing.
- Accurately document and code all medical services and procedures performed using appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Identify and analyze reasons for claim denials or rejections.
- Take corrective actions to appeal denied claims or resubmit corrected claims to maximize reimbursement.
- Implement strategies to reduce the occurrence of denials.
- Monitor and manage outstanding patient balances and aging accounts receivable.
- Implement strategies to collect overdue payments from patients and payers.
- Maintain communication with patients regarding their financial responsibilities and offer payment options if necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical office management, preferably in a
specialty office setting.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in EHR, NextGen highly preferred
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet patient care and administrative needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
