Training And Facilitation
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and teach management and leader development classes in person and via Microsoft Teams.
- Develop and maintain highly interactive training sessions that foster engagement, support knowledge retention, and enable skill application.
- Ensure that learning objectives are achieved, and quality standards are met for all training programs.
- Create and deliver a series of engaging lunchtime training sessions on relevant topics.
- Host and manage online TEAMs training sessions, ensuring a seamless participant experience.
- Acts as liaison and coordinator for the LinkedIn Learning program.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Commissioner for People Operations on course content development and recommend necessary revisions.
- Regularly review and evaluate curriculum, policies, and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend updates.
- Assist in creating and refining course curriculum for ongoing leader training initiatives.
- Coordinate physical classroom setup for in-person training sessions, ensuring all materials, equipment, and arrangements are in place.
- Oversee the classroom feedback process, analyze participant responses, and provide insights for program improvement.
- Schedule and coordinate the use of conference rooms for training and other events.
- Track employee compliance with the completion of mandatory training programs and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Provide input and feedback on the development of marketing and informational publications related to training initiatives.
- Assist with coordinating program speakers, training materials, and logistics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ADA-related inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Assess and recommend reasonable accommodation for employees.
- Conduct accessibility audits of facilities, programs, and services.
- Develop and update policies to align with ADA and other disability-related laws.
- Provide training and education on ADA compliance and disability awareness.
- Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and best practices regarding accessibility.
- Maintain records of accommodation requests and compliance efforts.
- Serve as backup to other HR staff and assist with special events, travel arrangements, and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Commissioner for People Operations or the Director of Human Resources.
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and interactive training methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, and other accessibility laws.
- Knowledge of virtual training platforms, particularly Microsoft Teams.
- Knowledge of facilitation techniques for both in-person and virtual learning environments.
- Knowledge and expertise in creating, reviewing, and revising course materials to align with organizational goals.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, compliance requirements, and professional development programs.
- Knowledge and familiarity with mandatory training requirements and tracking systems.
- Knowledge of tools and techniques for measuring training effectiveness, including feedback collection and assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skill in attending specific details, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Skill and experience in accessibility compliance, disability services, or a related field.
- Skill in using personal computer; general office software, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Qualifications
Required Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training, facilitation, or a similar role within Human Resources.
- Experience with virtual training platforms, such as Microsoft Power Point and Teams, is required .
- Work experience in human resources administrative and technical assistance work.
- Human Resources Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM – SCP or relevant.
- Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, and SmartSheet.
- Experience with coordinating and tracking accommodations under the ADA.
- Additional years of relevant work experience related to the position responsibilities.
- Experience with CAPPS HR and CAPPS Financials.
Work is performed in a standard office environment and requires:
