About The Job
As a Tax Accountant, you may:
- Prepare and complete tax returns and reports involved with federal, state, local, property, sales, and other tax liabilities.
- Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company. Review proposals for tax implications and recommend actions that meet business plans while managing tax liability.
- Assist in tax audits.
- Assist with forecasting book-tax differences associated with tax payments and quarterly tax provision bookings.
- Use and maintain tax-specific tools and systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
- Prior experience in tax; experience in finance, accounting, capital accounting, or facilities a plus
- Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting and/or CPA license a plus
- Intermediate level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, BPC
- Experience with Power BI, Alteryx or other analytical tools, with VBA experience a plus
- Ability to quickly ramp on new tools and processes
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Demonstrate a strong curiosity mindset – desire to learn from every situation, ask questions to gain knowledge
