Meter Reading Field Supervisor

Under the general direction of the Project Manager, the Field Supervisor will oversee meter reading for the project.

Responsibilities include:

· Working with the Project Manager to set goals and meet meter reading productivity requirements

· Directing in-field meter readers/resources and subcontractors, if any

· Performing the required training and safety sessions, overseeing all PPE and Vehicle inspections prior to work and in the field and ensuring all meter readers follow the required safety practices, established processes and handheld device procedures

· Identifying and developing future leaders by mentoring, coaching, and providing growth opportunities to high-potential employees.

· Being familiar with the entire scope and requirements of projects and services

· Acting as liaison directly with client, TMD management and other TMD staff, and TMD sales staff when required.

· Communicating the status and issues related to the project to the customer, Project Manager and executive leadership team

· Maintaining good customer relations with both TMD’s customers and the client’s customers and answering questions about the service being provided or directing the client’s customer to the customer service center, if applicable.

· Performing in-field training, audits, and meter reading when necessary.

· Navigating using GPS or printed maps as needed.

· In-field support of meter readers to include in-field quality control, work observation, and direction and daily over-sight of field staff.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Alpharetta, Georgia as no per diem nor relocation assistance is associated with this position

· Experience with managing/coordinating meter reading activities and personnel.

· Previous experience as a meter reader preferred

· Prefer 2-3 years of Field Supervision experience

· Knowledge of water metering and meter reading

· Possess a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of personal or professional driving experience due to insurance requirements.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to be courteous when working with coworkers, subordinates and members of the public.

· Physical ability to work in hot and cold environments

· Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Willingness to and capability of hiring and training new technicians

· Thorough understanding of accident prevention rules and regulations

· Strong knowledge of safety regulations and precautions with knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations

· Willingness to continue education through training sessions and safety and planning meetings

· Must have high degree of integrity

· Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams

· Additional Requirements: Background check clearance including drug screening and I-9 documentation as required by law
