Business Development Executive

This position is responsible for selling advertising, sponsorships, partnership marketing solutions, hospitality, suites, corporate events, and other revenue-producing opportunities for Texas Motor Speedway and NASCAR at COTA. The individual will also assist with special projects and events as assigned including marketing, planning, implementation, and follow-through of logistical and tactical event details relating to partnership marketing, corporate displays, hospitality, suites, corporate events, and various other partnership elements.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Present, sell, and execute premium suites, hospitality packages, group ticket sales, sponsorship packages, signage, advertising, event display space, facility rentals, and more
- Develop, present, and implement customized partnership packages via available speedway inventory
- Cultivate new business opportunities for local, regional, and national businesses
- Prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations, and closing sales
- Acquire new clients, grow revenue from existing clients, and strengthen customer relationships
- Actively pursue and secure targeted new partnership marketing partners while maintaining excellent working relationships with current sponsor partners
- Retain existing partners through excellent customer service and on-site activation
- Actively pursue renewal and upsell opportunities with existing partners
- Understand partner’s business objectives, identify, and curate partnership marketing options focused on retention and renewal.
- Meet and exceed sales revenue targets for the season and each major event
- Collaborate with the Texas Motor Speedway and Speedway Motorsports sales teams in the development of strategies, plans, and initiatives relative to new and renewal business development
- Work within a collaborative team environment with other track sales executives and staff
- Maintain up-to-date sales activities (Sales Force CRM), commission reports, expenses, as well as daily and weekly sales records
- Responsible to be on-site for all special events, major events, and other events as needed
- Other duties as assigned
