Your Role as Nursing Manager of Case Management
As the Nursing Manager of Case Management , you’ll ensure exceptional patient-centered care by overseeing all aspects of hospital-based case management. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Supervise and mentor a team of 22 RNs and a Social Work Team Leader, fostering professional growth and competency.
- Ensure staff effectively use tools like InterQual to progress patient care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate timely and appropriate patient management.
- Monitor and audit case management interactions, documentation, and assessments to maintain high standards of quality.
- Lead clinical performance improvement initiatives and promote optimal resource utilization.
- Assume responsibility for department operations, scheduling, staffing, and education in the absence of the Director.
- Serve as a clinical resource and subject-matter expert for the case management team.

Who We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience: 3 years of clinical nursing case management experience in an acute care setting (8 years preferred for top-tier candidates).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Certifications: Current RN license in Texas; Case Management certification and InterQual/IQCI certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
