Nursing Manager of Case Management
Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, Days (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: Up to $130,000 (based on experience)

Role Overview:
The Nursing Manager of Case Management provides day-to-day oversight and management of the hospital-based case management program. Reporting to the Case Management Director, the role ensures effective care coordination, quality outcomes, and optimal resource utilization while supervising and mentoring a team of case management professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the case management team.
Oversee and facilitate the daily operations of the case management department.
Ensure staff competency in utilizing InterQual to progress patient care plans.
Actively collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective patient management.
Monitor and audit case manager interactions, documentation, and assessments for quality assurance.
Participate in clinical performance improvement initiatives.
Manage department scheduling, staffing, and education.
Assume department leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of recent case management experience in an acute care setting.
Prior experience with InterQual preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state license required.
Certification in Case Management (CCM) preferred.
Certification in InterQual or IQCI preferred.
Team Structure:
Team Size: 22 RNs with a Team Leader who is a Social Worker.
