Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all unit functions during assigned shifts
- Monitor, assess, and document patient condition changes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, evaluate, and adjust care plans
- Delegate nursing tasks appropriately while maintaining overall accountability for patient care
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care process
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards
- Trauma Level: III
- Unit Size: 22 beds
- Daily Patient Volume: Up to 166
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Within 1 year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Within 1 year of hire
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) – Within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2–3 years in Emergency Room nursing (required for day shift)
- Prior Charge Nurse experience (required for day shift)
- Trauma experience preferred
