Director of Surgical Services
Location: Loxahatchee, FL
Shift: Full-time | No Weekends
Salary Range: $97,926.40 - $146,889.60 per year (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to oversee the operations of a dynamic surgical department. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, efficient team collaboration, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 leadership for a perioperative team, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Oversee daily operations and manage staff, resources, and surgical service goals.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and hospital-wide committees to improve patient experience.
- Implement and maintain best practices in surgical services and patient care.
- Mentor, develop, and provide performance feedback to 67 direct reports, including a Manager, SPD Supervisor, and PACU CNC.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of care.
- Foster strong relationships with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in surgical services or a related field.
- Active RN license in the state of Florida.
- CNOR and CSSM certification preferred.
- Experience with metrics, performance improvement, and Kronos is a plus.
- Strong background in OR and surgical services leadership in a department with at least 5 ORs.
