About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to lead a team of healthcare professionals in a Level II Trauma Center in Fort Walton Beach, FL . This role oversees the daily operations of a 42-bed Critical Care unit, including ICU and CVICU, serving patients with neuro, surgical, trauma, respiratory, and other critical care needs. As the Manager, you’ll ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensure adherence to standards of care.
✔️ Reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
✔️ Support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
✔️ Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
✔️ Oversee admissions, discharge processes, and equipment maintenance to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
✔️ Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination and assign staff based on clinical competencies and patient needs.
✔️ Monitor and evaluate nursing care to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met.
✔️ Lead efforts to achieve an unparalleled patient experience through consistent, positive interactions.
✔️ Inspire commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values. Implement employee engagement practices.
✔️ Manage staff scheduling, operating expenses, and productivity guidelines. Identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

🔹 Active RN License (Florida license required).
🔹 3 Years of Recent Acute Care Leadership Experience as a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager in Critical Care (relief charge experience does not qualify).
🔹 Associate Degree Required | BSN Preferred.
🔹 BLS and ACLS Certifications Required upon hire.
