Position : Human Resources Summer Intern
Unpaid Internship : This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position
Program : Amarillo, Texas – Human Resources
Hours : Part-Time; Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM from June 2, 2025 - August 1, 2025. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
Texas Panhandle Centers (TPC) is seeking a Junior or Senior level college student who is interested in expanding their knowledge in the Human Resources field while supporting TPC's HR team. This opportunity will provide the student with valuable experience in employment law, training, recruiting, and daily HR activities.
Essential duties and responsibilities of the Intern :
- Provide administrative support to the HR team and across the agency
- Interact in a positive manner with various members of staff and applicants
- Participate in recruitment activities such as creating marketing and recruitment materials
- Assist in on-boarding new hires
- Train staff
- Assist in employment law administration (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, Form I-9)
- Maintain personnel records
