Position Summary
Financial and Regulatory Accountant (the “FRA”) is responsible for production and distribution of various financial and regulatory reports required by Bank policy and external banking regulation. This is a unique position in that the FRA is tasked with working across a broad range of areas, ranging from accounting to financial and regulatory reporting responsibilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with federal and state regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures.
- Perform diverse accounting functions, which may include the preparation and review of general ledger entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and investment accounting, to help in preparation for financial and regulatory reporting.
- Responsible for collecting and organizing key data for the production of all reports for the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors as well as other committee reports.
- Preparation of the Bank’s Call Report.
- Communicates and coordinates with external audit partners. Responsible for all audit functions.
- Actively participate in the monthly closing of the general ledger, including interpreting and analyzing financial information for accurate regulatory reporting purposes.
- Preparation of weekly reports including, but not limited to, the Report of Transaction Accounts, Other Deposits and Vault Cash, FR2644 and the Report of Selected Assets and Liabilities of Domestically Chartered Community Banks, FR2900.
- Perform additional accounting and reporting related duties as requested.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Must have completed four years of undergraduate study with a strong emphasis in finance or accounting.
- Experience in banking or other financial institutions preferred.
- Strong focus on details.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume, work environment with accuracy and minimal supervision.
- Display a positive team working attitude with associates in all departments.
- Must have strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
