Position Summary
The Associate Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for a supporting role in the planning, design, configuration, maintenance, and support of network, server, and cloud infrastructure including LANs, WANs, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Virtual and Physical Server platforms, cloud connectivity and support, client/server applications, and related peripherals.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Support the Infrastructure Engineers as necessary
Assistance with the integrity of the network and server deployment
Assistance in the setup and configuration of the wireless networking that supports secured access
Support voice and video applications
Assistance in the installation and support LANs, WANs, Switches, Routers, and Firewalls
Assistance in the installation, configuration and maintenance of network services, equipment and devices
Assign routing protocols and routing table configurations
Support network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and cloud resources
Assist in the management of system back-up and restore protocols
Ensure patches are implemented and all systems have been updated
Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems
Respond to inquiries from staff, service providers, and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support
Document network issues and resolution for future reference
Monitor system performance and implement performance enhancements
Maintain a thorough knowledge of networking essentials
Oversee software and network security
Collaborate with developers, users, and other networking specialists to determine physical and virtual hardware requirements to meet infrastructure needs
Contribute to the design and implementation of a networking and infrastructure vision to safely prepare for future organizational growth
Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls
Monitor network performance, capacity and reliability
Proactively identify potential risks and impacts to the network
Remediate vulnerabilities and research security incidents

Be highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned

Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions

Manage assigned projects and/or program components to deliver services within established objectives
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education And Experience Requirements
Minimum of 1 years of network experience required
Technical, Analytical And Interpersonal Skills Required
Must have excellent analytical, observational, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Amazon AWS and Azure
Work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support
Must possess an adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a business environment
Knowledge of virtual server and SQL server
Knowledge of Fiserv Premier applications is a plus
Must be physically present in the bank to perform these job duties
