ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
Texas Rodeo Saloon is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead the team at Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy, TX.
The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial part in maintaining a fun environment focused on exceptional guest hospitality . The Assistant General Manager is responsible for cultivating a workplace environment that reflects our fundamental purpose and values, promoting positivity and inclusivity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development of all the staff and inspire them to promote exceptional hospitality.
- A strong emphasis on hospitality is essential for this position.
- Work hands-on identifying, prioritizing, and delegating tasks to the leadership team and team members. Lead to your team’s strengths by putting the right people in the right places at the right times.
- Delegate tasks that promote learning and professional growth for your team.
- Manage financials to ensure a successful restaurant.
- Role model and coach Team Members to provide genuine hospitality to our guests while maintaining and executing all basic service standards.
- Understand how to execute all appropriate Health Department regulations, educating the team on the execution of all quality standards.
- Lead by example and hold teams accountable for operational excellence in product quality, consistency of execution, speed of service, cleanliness, maintenance, and guest service.
- Lead recognition and creation of a strong team culture through accountability, collaboration, and effective communication.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum 5-years previous restaurant or hospitality managment experience, in a high-volume setting
- Knowledgeable with current POS system experience, scheduling programs, inventory control systems, etc.
- Solid training standards, excellent staff evaluation skills, proper interview and hiring strategies, and retention focus
- The ability to both address and ultimately prevent guest issues
- Positively lead and motivate a large management team and give useable and actionable feedback
- Maintain an ethical and positive environment and be the employer of choice among job seekers
- A professional attitude and appearance with a can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to be hands-on and not afraid to get hands dirty.
- Experience hiring, developing, training, and setting clear expectations and follow-up.
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment as well as perform job functions independently.

- Base Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 a year, based on experience.
