Mechanical Technician

6 month assignment (temp to hire)

SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates smoothly and safely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under general supervision, performs preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment relative to their assigned location.
• Performs function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
• Ensures adherence to and accurate maintenance of, as well as input of, data into client's system of record.
• This role is responsible for following specific and detailed work processes within the client management system during daily job activities.
• Performs own work and assists others as directed.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED
• Technical school certificate, strongly preferred.
• 1 year Mechanic experience
• Tubing fitting experience
• Machinery used: Tubing cutter, tubing bender, reamer, drill, band saw, hand tools
• Forklift & Manlift experience
• Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical schematics/drawings/prints including: P&ID (piping & instrumentation diagram)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Safety oriented (obeying all safety rules and policies)
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
• Must have or can acquire required Certifications: Forklift, Manlift, ISTC Safety Essential, & be able to complete site specific training
• Candidate must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
• Current Driver's License
• Must pass pre-employmentDrug & Alcohol Screen, Physical, MVR, and Background Check

SHIFT

• Day shift
• 7:00am-4:00pm

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
