Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
- Experience in organizing, installing and configuring moderately complex desktop hardware and software, including SIS and related software applications.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining software and hardware and complying with standards and security.
- Experience in assisting users in the usage and understanding of enterprise wide applications such as Banner and TouchNET as well as training and preparation of documentation for related applications.
- Experience in reviewing system specifications and functionality to provide input and recommendations into hardware and software selections and process improvement objectives and goals.
- Advanced experience in testing, troubleshooting, supporting and resolving issues in SIS related systems, applications and processes.
- Experience in content management systems including content creation and maintenance.
- Experience in analysis and presentation of SIS related system data and the ability to extract and validate student information and accounts receivable data for business information and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and effectively support users in a professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and complete work within established deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as word, excel, and outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or higher degree preferred.
- Understanding of Oracle SQL.
Job Description
Provide comprehensive support for all desktop related systems and software. Coordinate with ITAC and ISO on assuring systems are operating optimally with current standards. Develop and provide training to end users on related hardware and software functionality. Assist in student customer support as needed as well as provide data analysis as requested. Maintain SBS and Treasurer websites. Provide input into functional process improvement initiatives.
Job Duties
- Utilize project and process management to oversee desktop hardware and software maintenance and compliance with university security, backup and retention standards.
- Order, install, and configure desktop computer hardware and software related systems utilized by the Student Business Service and Treasurer Office.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical issues related to desktop hardware and related SIS applications.
- Review system functionality and offer input into process improvement objectives and goals.
- Responsible for the training of users and preparation of documentation for desktop applications as well as assisting users in the usage and understanding of enterprise wide applications such as Banner and TouchNET.
- Perform data analysis, extraction and summary presentation for ongoing projects and initiatives as assigned by the Area Analysts, Director of SBS and the Treasurer.
- Ability to comprehend and comply with policies, procedures, laws and regulations related to student information and related systems.
- Manage projects in a team environment resolving conflict as needed. Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in an efficient manner.
- Interact courteously with customers/staff, provide student accounting related customer support via phone and email as needed.
- Observe discretion with sensitive, confidential, privileged, or other information obtained in the course of job functions.
