The School of Theatre, Dance, and Film at Texas State University seeks an Assistant Professor of Film Production (Tenure Track), starting fall 2025. The new hire will join a nationally recognized department with a dynamic faculty dedicated to a collaborative and innovative approach to teaching undergraduate and graduate students. The Film Production Concentration within the vibrant BFA program focuses on narrative fictional filmmaking and has a rapidly growing diverse student body and a new dedicated building for film, television and audio production.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Teaching undergraduate courses in film.
- Supervising co-curricular student projects.
- Collaborating with the Film Production Area in support of current initiatives and new developments.
- Serving the Film Program through administrative contributions and / or leadership positions.
