Position Description
The Department of Biology seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary / nontenured faculty to teach. Temporary / nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental / school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and / or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.
This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2024 / 2025 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration as the need arises
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a master's degree in Biology or a closely related life science field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
