Cargo Tank Repair Shop Manager
We are searching for a Cargo Tank Regional Shop Manager to create a safe and desirable work environment in order to produce an acceptable profit margin while excelling in service quality and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Manage all employees at Texas Tank Works DOT Cargo Tank Inspection and R Stamp
Repair Facilities. Plan and assign work, implement policies/procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions while maintaining Texas Tank Works safety culture.
Ensure QC policies for R Stamp equipment repair and compliance are properly implemented and adhered to at all R Stamp locations.
Ensure all DOT Inspection regulations are followed
This position is based out of our Nederland Texas Facility. 10-20% travel to other TTW Repair shops will be required
Essential Functions:
- Assist in setting up new R Stamp locations
- Perform annual audits both internal and external
- Oversee all ASME repairs done within our shops as the Quality Control Manager
- Ensure our R Stamp shops are compliant with DOT and NBIC regulations
- Ensure all R Stamp shops are uniform and following all safety protocols set forth by QC
- Ensure all training records are up to date and retrain staff as needed.
- Complete all welder qualification certifications
- Complete all demo packets for Code NBIC repairs
- Implement new welding procedures as needed at locations
- Track and disburse updated Quality Control Manuals to shops and Authorized Inspectors
- External vendor repair review
- CT # Management
- Internal Repair Tracking within QC systems
- Oversee all DOT VIK, P, T, UC and L inspections
- Ensure all DOT inspections are compliant with applicable rules and requirements.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5 years industry experience with NBIC and DOT
Experience Required
- 3 years DOT HM-183 Inspection experience
- 3-5 years prior experience with R Stamp operations
- Must be competent with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Manage Technicians at Texas Tank Works Inspection and Repair Facilities
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
