Facility General Manager
We are searching for a Facility General Manager to create a safe and desirable work environment in order to produce an acceptable profit margin while excelling in service quality and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Manage all employees in a truck tanker wash facility and a truck tanker repair shop. Plan and assign work, implement policies/procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions while maintaining Texas Tank Works safety culture.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage Tank Wash facility and to include directing daily tank scheduling, ensuring adherence to company paperwork process procedures, ensure proper paperwork flow from the tank wash through to accounting/invoicing, evaluate last contained materials in each tanker to ensuring proper cleaning procedures are utilized and ensure all company Confined Space Entry procedures are followed.
- Manage separate Tank DOT Inspection and Repair facility, located on the same site as tank wash, to include directing daily job scheduling, ensuring adherence to company paperwork process procedures, ensure proper paperwork flow from the service facility through to accounting/invoicing, and ensure all company Confined Space Entry procedures are followed.
- Ensure effective employee relations and positive morale through communication, coaching and personnel development while resolving employee issues fairly and effectively within the guidelines of company policy.
- Improve work standards and meet all objectives for housekeeping, quality, productivity and cost by continuous employee guidance and development.
- Understand and comply with all Confined Space Entry, PPE and other safety requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
- Emphasize and enforce safe work practices and encourage a safety mindset at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree or combination of education and experience in a related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a environmental hazmat, tanker wash and/or tanker inspection and repair environment preferred.
- Proven development of high-performance teams.
- Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
- Proficient in problem analysis, problem solving and successful resolution.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
