Performs executive, administrative duties concerning various aspects of operational management in support of the Service Plus philosophy and mission of Texas Tech System.The Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Leader and Culture Development provides comprehensive support to senior leaders throughout the Texas Tech University System (TTUS). Using a servant leader approach, the AVC will increase the leader capacity and capability of all with whom the office supports. The AVC works collaboratively with the Leader and Culture Development Team to design and implement unique development programs tailored for the organizations we support throughout the TTUS and beyond.

- Assist the Texas Tech University System (TTUS) Vice Chancellor for Leader and Culture Development to implement the visionary goals of the system chancellor and university presidents to create a sustainable values-based culture and people development programs for faculty, staff, and students.
- Build strong trust-based relationships with university faculty, staff, and student leaders and work with them to identify development needs for individuals and teams.
- Collaborate with the TTUS Office of Leader and Culture Development and university leaders to create and implement unique curricula designed to meet needs for values, culture, and people development.
- Lead, coach, and develop designated leaders at each university to integrate the values-based culture into processes, university policies, system regulations, and daily life.
- Support the university Leader Development Councils and work with them to select participants in people development programs.
- Integrate university values into people development programs.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of all programs.
- Support key values culture and people development events across the TTUS.
- Frequently travel to all university campuses to support and lead programs.
- Work with the various offices of the university presidents to ensure the presidents’ vision for values culture and people development is achieved.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required to support the success of the universities and system.
