Duties/Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean the exterior and interior of trucks and the cleaning of the exterior of trailers using appropriate cleaning equipment, detergents, and tools
- Remove dirt, grime, and other contaminants from truck and trailer surfaces
- Ensure that all parts of the truck and trailer, including wheels, tires, and undercarriage, are cleaned
- Inspect trucks for any damages or issues that may require attention
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is clean and properly maintained and report any malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Use protective gear and equipment as necessary
- Maintain records of cleaned trucks, trailers and any maintenance or repair activities performed
- Ensure shop and work area remain clean and safe
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and inspection.
- Dependability and punctuality in meeting work schedules.
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
- Must have a positive attitude and the willingness to grow.
- Valid Driver’s License required
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in outside environment with exposure to various weather elements
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures
- Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders
- Occasionally requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, gloves, etc.)
- May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals
